How fixed is the route?
Pre-set, but flexible by ±1 day or ±1 anchorage if the fleet votes. The lead boat's job is to get you to a marina each evening with a berth waiting — that requires planning.
Do I have to do everything with the group?
No. Daily activities are optional. Some couples skip the group dinners; some boats peel off for half a day. As long as you reach the evening marina, you're free.
What if I haven't sailed for a couple of years?
Flotilla is the format. You'll have a refresher with the lead skipper on day 1, and the daily briefings cover anchoring + docking specific to the day's marina.
Can kids come?
Absolutely — flotillas are the most kid-friendly format. Other families in the fleet, evening activities, fleet rhythm (early starts, early dinners) suits them.
When do flotillas run?
June to mid-September in the Mediterranean. Saturday-to-Saturday. Calendar published 6 months ahead — 8-12 per season.
